the word i choose.. just do it for a cpl words, or whatever, and i'll figure it out from there to do the others.. thx.. -- J B E L L http://platinum.awjbell.com G O I N G P L A T I N U M irish berserkerJan 28, 2001, 6:26am
j b e l l,
Preston does that without too much work...it can be set for flooding, caps, eject on phrase...but it has been abused in the past. j b e l lJan 28, 2001, 6:56am
i hate preston, but if i have no other choice: so be it

Look at http://www.imatowns.com/xelagot/xlgtopicbadwords.html to learn
how to do this. -Builderz [View Quote] irish berserkerJan 28, 2001, 2:42pm
Builderz,
You have to have wav files disabled, and have a wav loaded for Xelag? No wonder I like Preston better.Does this even perform an ejection?or does it just warn when a word is said? Here is a few lines from my Preston.ini file to show the ease of using it. [ejection] secureaccess= secwarnmsg=Warning. Please do not proceed. You risk ejection. secejectmsg=Intruder detected. Ejecting %a floodlines=3 floodseconds=2 maxrepeat=2 maxcaps=2 [badnames] n=0 [dictionary] dict version=28 p0=%b a0=1 d0=Yes, %a em0=1 id0=3 p1=Hi %b a1=1 d1=Hi %a em1=1 id1=4 p2=%b Hi a2=1 d2=Hi %a em2=1 id2=5 p3=hello %b [View Quote] followed by by a list of words or parts of words - each on its own line - that will sound the alert sound. For instance: WordList=spanish camion tre malo will sound the alert, if properly installed, when any of these letter-combinations are said by someone. For example: "tres", "Mitre" will sound the alert, but "camión", on the other hand, won't sound the alert. To load the file, go to the menu Bot item Word list, and select Load. Then search for the file and load it. Make sure you have selected a wav file (same menu item, select Sound), and that no other wav file is running (de-select wavs in the aw browser). j b e l lJan 28, 2001, 5:57pm
i did too, untill i finally understood xelagot... and there's something
about preston that ticks me off, but i won't go into the list of many.. lol -- J B E L L http://platinum.awjbell.com G O I N G P L A T I N U M [View Quote] irish berserkerJan 28, 2001, 6:19pm

I'm not quite sure. I never actually had the need to use this feature of
the Xelagot. I don't think it ejects the user. I just provided that link to help you get started. I'm sure it wouldn't take too much work to make your own custom script to do what you want, though. Yes, I agree it IS easier to set this up in Preston than in the Xelagot. -Builderz [View Quote] *snip* Note that I did not write what is below. This is from the Xelagot help files and Irish Berserker must have mistakenly thought I wrote it. [View Quote] irish berserkerJan 28, 2001, 9:04pm
Builderz,
If we had a Bot that had all the cool features of Xelagot..and the simplicity of Preston..that would be great...:-) [View Quote] j b e l lJan 28, 2001, 9:08pm
*sighs* ahh.. the possibilities..

J b e l l,
Then you will probly have to go with Preston till someone makes a Xel"Preston"agot. Believe me tho..Preston ejects even the owner sometimes..i've done it to myself a few times. [View Quote] xelagFeb 3, 2001, 1:10pm
The reason why Xelagots do NOT eject when they hear bad words is that I am
absolutely against that sort of practice. Words have a context, and bots (at present) can not correctly identify this context. A human being can decide that a word, even if it is on the black list, does not deserve ejection under certain circumstances: a bot can not. Xelagots can warn you bad words are being said, but will not eject the offender: that's up to you. You can of course overrule this behaviour by writing a script, but I won't help you do it :) XelaG [View Quote] j b e l lFeb 3, 2001, 4:11pm
...good point xelag... haven't put it into that persective yet.. perhaps i
won't have it eject bad language :-) -- J B E L L http://platinum.awjbell.com G O I N G P L A T I N U M [View Quote] the derekFeb 5, 2001, 2:55am
tip for resolving the issue.. use words like ass and hell as whole words ONLY
(they have to say the exact word to be ejected) and words like bitch whore crap shit and fuck the bot can eject if they detect that string at all... but its up to you [View Quote] > The reason why Xelagots do NOT eject when they hear bad words is that I am > absolutely against that sort of practice.
