Paypal is safe, just be careful of email scams

I've used paypal for a few years and have had thousands transferred by them,
Just takes a while to transfer to own bank account if outside USA.. apart
from that its quite safe..

Not when I got screwed over by them,and they need me to fax info that I
really dont like to do much =\

I was told that I had to fax them some documents when I wanted to change
my business name on PayPal (no other account information, just the name
on the account). Of course, I didn't want to send them the info they
requested because a) it was just a name change, everything else was the
same and b) they had most of the information already on file.

So what I ended up doing was looking at the eBay message boards (eBay
owns PayPal, BTW) and tracked down the person at PayPal that was in
charge of customer service and sent him an e-mail. The next day the
business name on my account was changed over without me having to fax
them a thing.

The only other issue I had with PayPal was two chargebacks of a bot I
used to sell in the past and they couldn't get my money back because it
was a digital product instead of a physical one with a tracking/shipping
code.

There are anti-Paypal sites out there. When there are anti-anything
sites out there I would research them, although I haven't looked at the
arguments against Paypal in detail.

Yep, I've been to a great deal of them but haven't had any major issues
with PayPal so far.

All i had to fax was a bank statement to make sure the card was mine,
nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Haven't had any problems with them,
except for the fact thier websites don't freakin work from libya, so have to
use a proxy, which annoys me.

Not a good idea; If the same proxy is traced for fraud on the paypal site,.
and they trace its also your account, your in trouble :[
