when in my world i made a elevator that moves down, but when i face north i
stay there, when i look sounth i move downward, anyone else had this
proplem?

Yes. sort of. I built an elevator in Nutopia just for the heck of it.
once it started down though and i "bumped" into the floor, I would stay at
the altitude I bumped into the floor at until I looked around or until I
moved. The floor would continue moving downward.
