Actually, haven't been keeping up with the NG's as much lately, so if this has
been discussed ad nauseum in this NG previous, sorry :) BUT, it's my
understanding that Activeworlds.com has something in the works for making
custom avatars that people can take anywhere in the worlds with them :) I've
inquired in NG's before regarding plans on how this will be implemented but
didn't see a response on that yet.

Sven technology (i hope i have the name right) did Avatar maker, which i
purchased and tried out. It was lots of fun to use. At the time (long time
ago), i couldn't figure out a way to export an av made in that prog. for use in
AW tho.
People love to add touches of individualism to their own avs, so i think that
if awcom implements a program such as this, it will be a lot of fun for aw
users :)

Just my personal opinion, but the current way of making avatars for aw seems to
be rather labor intensive, and time consuming for me. Leftover, my partner in
ZUZU world, works quite fast on these things, however. But he is a professional
graphic artist, expeienced in 3D graphics and 2D graphics.

So, I for one would be very interested in AWCOM's progress in this area, and
look forward to it :)

some way to resolve cit. numbers to names on world options lists - or
just an area to manually list numbers/names somewhere by those rights
fields ...

(so that a separate application doesn't have to be used)

hm cool, i'll take a look at it. Hamfon's previous bots would do this
function, it was really convenient, as
long as a bot was already running. Dunno if his newer sdk bots are doing
the same thing or not now.
BUT, when entering cit. numbers in world option fields for different
occasions, it's just impossible for me to keep
track of all these numbers and who they belong to. At different times,
i've just started simple text files, and added numbers with names. Problem
is... heh, i've lost the text files a few times :). I just really think
some option on the world options area to keep track of what number goes
with what name, would make editing the world options much more convenient.

Baggis has developed an eject bot which i was testing in Zuzu World & which
seems to do great (for names and keywords :) & He's informed me that this bot
will also resolve numbers to names now :)

Yes, this sure would be nice to have. there's been plenty of times i've
constructed something, decided i wanted to move it to a new location,
and multiple copy sure would have been handy.

--Longer filenames for world names
--A world description box, in which the world owner can enter a
description of the world, its purpose, etc., and able to update as
needed. Perhaps have it in such a way so that Users could click on a
world name in the world tabs list, and be able to choose "Description"
from a popup menu. Clicking on Description would bring up
the paragraph (description text) entered by the world owner. In the
description box, the ability to link to the world's web page would be
cool too.
--An indication whether the world is purchased or trial

wow, just was able to log into AW, entered AWBINGO2 world, and found the
theme there to look VERY much like OLD ZUZU with islands and a few palm
trees.. i guess we in zuzu should be ..flattered? heheh

First, try rebooting. Completely shut down your computer and let it "rest" for
a while. If that doesn't help your situation, try checking the amount of your
free disk space. A good rule of thumb is to keep a minimum of 10% of your
total disk space free to allow windows to function properly. If you find you
have very little free disk space, time to start clearing your harddrive of
unnecessary things, and then do a scan disk and defrag (You'll find
instructions in windows help). When operating your pc, try shutting down
unnecessary programs/windows that you may have running in the background, but
are not being used at the moment but which are using resources. If these things
still don't help, try running an anti-virus scan to scan for viruses on your
pc.
