Hi all --

Some advance notice (and ideas are welcome):

On March 24, close to the Vernal Equinox, we will hold a fun "art opening"
on AlphaWorld of some of Charles Grimes acrylic work. It's called "The
Warrior at Heart." We'll be there starting at 11:59 VT. ( 6 pm PST to 9 pm
PST)

Charles was the inventor in the early '70's of 'knot-art.' He was also a
prime mover in the International Casafundada activities in the Pacific
Northwest, participating with Arthur Demain, Ubu Waugh and others in
happenings there. The last few years he has spent painting, dividing his
time between his Seattle studio and his studio on Cain's Lake in the
Northern part of Washington State.

His "Warrior" paintings have been called "lushly painted and vital works
of outsider art, exploring a personal history and mythology in a colorful
and joyous world." (Dig that!)

We'll have beautiful people, beautiful paintings, music, live art talks at
the Lily Pond, and door prizes on the hour.

Should you wish to voice chat with the artist and guests, we will also be
running a couple of forums on FireTalk, locations to be announced at the
show. (FireTalk Basic free voice chat software is available at

Our agenda will be something like this:

11:59 opening, viewing and chit chat
12:30 Door prize: framed and signed computer drawing by Charles.
13:00 Talk at Lily Pond: The Warrior and Outsider Art
13:30 Door prize: another colorful, framed and signed piece of computer art
by Charles
14:00 Talk at Lily Pond: What's it like to live with an Outsider Artist?
15:00 Close

We're still working on some additional events. (Creative ideas are
welcome.)

Hi folks.

Despite repeated attempts, I've been unable to get my event posted on the
Events Calendar. No-one even writes back!

Anyway, so here's a reminder, I'll be hosting an online outsider art
reception on Saturday night, 3/24, from 6-9pm PST (start at 11:59pm VT).

We'll have talks and prizes and, of course, a good friend's gorgeous
paintings.

I give up! I know there's a martini (object) somewhere on Alpha World, but
I've checked building yards, indexes, lists, web pages, and I can't find it.

I'm getting awful thirsty!

Anybody know its name or where I can find a dry one?
