david burke // User SearchSDK for linuxNov 16, 1998, 10:54pm
Hello Roland, and hello all,
I've been away for awhile, and am glad to hear about the new SDK. I'd really like to start playing with it, but currently my world is running on a linux server. I'd like some input on whether it would make more sense to wait for the unix version of the SDK, or to move my world back to a PC. Do you have a general sense of when there might be a linux version of the SDK? If it's less than a month or two, I'd be inclined to wait. If it's a long way off, I suppose it would be better to just move my world. Thanks, Dave(latenite) Using the Borland CompilerNov 18, 1998, 2:58am
Hello all,
I'm wondering if anyone has been able to use the Borland compiler with the SDK? I read the previous Borland thread. I've got Borland 5.02 on there now, and also have Builder3 available. I would like to know how to correctly include the "aw.lib" file in the project, without using the "LoadLibrary" and "GetProcAddress" mess. If anyone knows how to do this, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave WishlistMay 4, 1998, 6:48pm
I've found that you can usually accomplish a re-load by clicking on
a world in the world list that has a red dot next to it. You get a message stating "You can't enter, blah, blah..." and then you end up right back where you started. The re-entry process usually causes the objects to be re-loaded. (This may depend on the world's "object-refresh" time though.) Dave [View Quote] > Amen to that. > > Paul > [View Quote] |
