Thanks TrueBlue! Took a while to accomplish the alignment with the hands but i think i did a descent job. This is mostly training for myself.
Im hoping on expanding the video to feature more. Maybe even do a 3d backdrop also. Make the magician be in space :D |

JaimeS: NICE JOB!
I know it's a work in progress but here are some things to maybe consider. (Which you may have already thought of.)
- Mask the 3D object in parts so that it doesn't "show through" the hands. It's such a quick move that you may be able to edit those frames in Photoshop.
- Key the start and end of the 3D object, then key at the middle of those frames, then key at the middle of those frames, etc, etc...
Here's a 100-frame example:
0------------------------99
0-----------49-----------99
0----24-----49----74-----99
Be sure the object matches the hands at frame 0 and 99, then go to frame 49 and align the object to match, then frames 24 and 74. Keep going as far as you want, even keying every frame if you like.
The reason I like to work this way is that it satisfies the curved interpolation, keeping you from getting unwanted movement from the object. Also, it's better than keying straight-ahead starting from the first frame because by having an end key that's in the right place, the object moves along for you as you scrub and set keys, leaving you to do minor re-positioning.
I hope that all makes sense. ;) |

Thank you everyone for all you comments. I am new to actually puting truespace to work. Mostly i mess with modeling. I have not by any means reached gallery level.
Thanks for you advice and i hope to update this thread with better footage!
PS My room is tidy! :p |

Make the bat a little bit shinier and it will be gallery level, the fact that you managed to merge video and animation that well is pretty impessive. |

Biranalldridge thanks for the comment!
I was also wondering...any advice as to how to make mask layer for the hands in Truespace 7? |
