Trueplay locks up no matter what I do.

I can get it to load up but the second I try anything everything freezes, including Truespace.

Any thoughts?

What Graphics Card are you using and does this ever happen when not in shared space?

Best not to run tS and tP at the same time. Let me know if that helps.

I dont get a lock up, but it looks like I do - what happens is something somewhere (router or maybe isp) drops the connection, so tP sits there and does nothing (I can still navigate though), until it confirms the connection is dropped for good and tells me.

Those are two issues I can think of that might cause this.

HTH!

When truePlay first came out I was able to login to the truePlay server. Now for the last few days it login's to CSharedSpace. Any ideas what the problem is? I have also been trying to upload the Mine game and Air Hockey game into SharedSpace. Does not work, the only thing that I am able to upload is objects. I have been trying to upload the Air Hockey game since 1/20/2006.

This problem(s) could appears if:

- you have installed tS7.0x

- you don't have installed VRay

- and you installed last truePlay

In such case there are two solutions:

- install last tS7.1 (patch 7.0x->7.1 should be available in few days)

- or locate components.lst file which you can find in c:\trueSpace\tS directory. Then open it for editing and delete this string:

..\Vray.dll

I do not have V-Ray :( and so I deleted the ..\Vray.dll entry in the components.lst file. I still have the same problems as I have posted.

Seems to me your truePlay is pointed to the trueSpace Portal. I should get you to email support@caligari.com and we can check this out in private for you.

Thanks in advance.

Then try to delete the default.ctx file too. But better 'd be if you backup it in case you get into a troubles. Then if you launch tS7 again, new default.ctx file will be created.

When you choose "Load scene", then all existing objects are deleted. And thats the thing that disable you upload whole scene. Its because you don't have privileges to delete some of the objects in portal such as the "back button".
