Has anyone thought of having a section (or subsection) dedicated to games made with TS7? Nothing complex, just something like the Air-Hockey demonstration; to show-off the LE, etc. That would be fun for people to mess around with when they visit here. Just an un-refined thought.

This sounds very interesting to me. I am interested in game development. Currently it is simple flash based games. I used tS to create a flash based puzzle game and a simon says like game based on an African instrument that I modelled in tS. I imagine when the truePlayer becomes available I can start to create 3d based games that can be shared on this thread. :jumpy:

Yes, not in 7 but in 6.6.

Tiles is a good TS user from Germany.

You can meet him in the truespace irc chat on the galaxynet server in #truespace channel.

Vizu, when i understand it correct, KeithC means games made inside trueSpace. TS 4 came with a little pong example as far as i remember, wich used the Python script. Stuff like that.

My games are made with a little 2D authoring software called Multimedia Fusion. But thanks for advertising ;)

I think it is a good idea to primarily focus on exploiting tS built in gaming possibilties, but I also think it is a good idea to see how tS is used with other platforms for gaming such as flash, fusion, shockwave, java etc... Maybe that could be a sub-thread?

I agree. I'm planning a complete set of game media that will be rendered into 2D (using renders as frames for animation sequences when needed); to be used in a free 2D game coming out sometime this summer. I'm just not sure if Caligari would even bother with starting an official section up for it. But if they did, then subthreads, or childboards would be a good idea.
