I was playing around with light settings and discovered that negative lights don't work with ts7 unless you disable the bridge. If you try to set an intensity of less than zero it just changes to zero. Player and negative lights aren't compatible.

Did some more tests. Some light types can be negative with the bridge enabled others require the bridge to be off in order to work.

I don't think DirectX supports negative lights, so when the bridge is enabled in tS7 negative light values are reset to zero for the majority of light types to enable the Player to function.

Not being a veteran at trueSpace I don't know what negative lights are, or how they work, are they really as simple as they sound?

Could someone give a brief description please.

Well, in a nutshell, a negative light acts the opposite as a positive light. basically it will absorb light. Also because they act the opposite a yellow light will cast a purple. as can be seen in the example. Really handy for adding some color or darkness to an area without having to change you current light setup to much.
