If you try to set an intensity of less than zero it just changes to zero. Player and negative lights aren't compatible. Did some more tests. Some light types can be negative with the bridge enabled others require the bridge to be off in order to work. Also because they act the opposite a yellow light will cast a purple. as can be seen in the example. Really handy for adding some color or darkness to an area without having to change you current light setup to much.
