 To all the women who are in my life, I just want to say thanks.

You put up with me, my manners, my conduct and inappropriate pranks.


You straighten my tie, clean the lint from my suit and tell me not to stoop.

You brush my shoes without asking and when I'm sick, you make me comforting soup.


You can address my demeanor with just a glint in your eye.

And those meals you made, cakes and pies, my oh my oh my!


You can tell me precisely in your own terms when the car is mechanically unsound.

By describing in new terms about a gizwidget, a thingbob or some "thing" has unwound.



You appear stunningly appealing with your dress of soft textures and scents of devine.

Your presence makes a room glow with much excitement, the atmosphere defined.


When someone is in need, you don't stop and write out a boring, documented plan.

You just extend your hand out, help others, it's wonderful kindness, on demand.


When I'm spouting gloom over an undeciferable project with sure impending doom.

You take once glance, make an illuminating remark, then simply exit the room.


You don't ask for thank you's nor do you solicit remarks in kind.

You act precisely, boldy with quiet ferver, you've made up your mind.


You've made up your mind because it was the best and appropriate thing to do.

For women this process comes natural, for men we need tools, tape and a bit of glue.


On this day of hearts, this valentine poem goes to all the women who have made a difference in my life's stay.


To all of you, God Bless you and keep you, have a happy Valentine's day.
