Hello

How do you export animated mesh’s What I want to do is rig my models made in true space animate them then save and import them into other software as preanimated mesh’s . Can anyone give me some advice or instruction. I can rig them in other software as well but I would like to use TS for this.

Hi DanX

One way to do this is to export as a direct-X file. Then you can import that into FragMosoft or Milkshape. From there you can apply any motion to your rigg by using both of the programs merge feature.

Another way is to save your rigg made in ts as a ms3d file. Milkshape.

Then you can import it into fragMosoft or Milkshape and again your motions will merge onto your saved pre-riggs flawlessly. Here is a tutorial outlining my workflow. http://www.3dborg.com/joe/magictuts/ Hope that it helps. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help. Cheers

The format I need is .lwo (lightwave) or pz3 (poser) I am wanting to make use Vue since I paid so much for it. Unfortunately the only TS file it will import is .cob and as far as I know that format cannot be animated or can it? Because that would be like the most awesome thing if I could save animated .cob files.:D

A .cob file will hold animation information but I don't know if it will be imported to your other software program. :)

arrggg!

Well .cob will hold animation history but unfortunately my environment animation software will not recognize it as an animated mesh. No mater what format I save it in. Guess Im stuck with modeling with the system I have for now. But at least it works. :D
