Vertices going astray.

I don't know if this has ever happen to anyone, but occasionaly when I model an object with a large number of polygons, a selected vertex shoot off the screen or off the model's surface.

I run tS 6.6 on a 700 MHZ Athlon 500 MB of ram and a Oxygen IV video card.

Any ideas why?

Thanks,

Dude

Happens all the time to me. I always figured it was the models complexity throwing the program off.

You see this every now and again, during ik anim of character, when the vertices are not assigned properly to bones. You have to grab them and assign them to a bone to control their movement and such.

Hope this helps.

I used to have this problem quite frequently as well. For me, it happened when I was editing my mesh in the perspective view and trying to move or scale selected points. The best I could reason was that Truespace was getting confused about the angle and direction I was trying to move the points, with sometimes very drastic results.

Now I almost always model in 4 views, and move my points around in the Top, Side, or Front view, while the perspective view is only used for selecting parts of the model. TS seems to get less confused when you're moving points in only two dimensions at once instead of three.

I hope this helps.
