I love this image, Great work. Did it really take 16 hours to render?
I hope you win the cali gallery contest. Cheers

yes it did..hopefully this new render will cut time and look as good or better as far as the bubbles are concerned..that's partly why it's taking so long..the other is the reflection enviroment behind camera is a polygon mockup of a window ..images would be faster, but I wasn't seeing them in the reflection. I will try more image tests on something simpler later.thanks mrbones... :)

tried to reduce render time..but don't think it was any faster.[fell asleep].bubbles ..I did lower the caustics factor to 19.0 , still using photons 3500 ..had tried reducing reflection on bubbles to zero. .

yes Mitch..I like that part too, you can see the window in the reflection..

WoW! Stan this is an excellent improvement over the last time I saw this. I think the reflection looks very good and brought out the realism. I think a different background (sort of like a studio) would be better fitting. I have one if you would like it. It would give your image a "product design" look. Let le know if you want it.

I think we'd all like to have the kinda money Houdini costs, though I'd spend the money on something else...

Mmmm.... quad opteron workstation.... :D

[incase anyone's gotten confused by Apple's useage of the word quad in relation to CPUs, I actually mean 4 CPUs, 8 cores]
