Ok, so I finally found out how to put a video onto a plane as a texture/material, in truespace 7.6, but now I have a new problem. The video is really distorted when I put it on the plane, and it also only shows a piece of the video. Any idea how to fix that?

Did you UV the plane.

Just an ordinary UV from the "plane" format should work.

or

On that particular polygon (UV plane)

Thanks, that worked. But when I tried to export my work, it has no audio to go with the video plane. I even checked the "export audio box" and it didnt do anything

Bear in mind this is a material, that defines how the object looks. Materials naturally do not include sound :)

To add sound, you need to add it to the Animation Editor. Unsure if you can add a video as sound, you may need to use just the sound file there rather than the video file.

You'd need to position the sound file in the timeline to match the video - most likely you are just starting from the beginning of the video at the start of the animation, so placing the sound file at frame 0 will do that. If you are somehow delaying the start of the video then you'd need to offset the sound file in the keyframe editor.

HTH!
