I've been trying to follow the free tutorials, but I keep running into the same problem. My interface layout looks nothing like any of the tutorials I've watched, which makes it very hard to follow along. Any advice? Many are for trueSpace6.6 and earlier, and to follow those you will need to be in the Model side of trueSpace7.6. Alternatively, if you are watching the newer tutorials, then you will need to be sure to be in the workspace side of trueSpace7.6. You can switch between the two aspects of the program using the tabs at the top, "Workspace" and "Model". One of those should be close to the interface you are seeing. Of course, a program evolves over time, and courses are fixed in time, so there may be minor changes such as some icons moved - however, sounds like you are seeing much larger differences than that, and I suspect it comes from being in a different aspect of tS at the time as above. If you're using the model side of 7.6 most of the older tutorials should look fairly familiar. Best thing to do is watch through a video tutorial all the way without doing anything, just watch. Then go through it a second time pausing when necessary and trying to emulate it yourself. The icons have changed quite a bit over the years, but the names are usually the same. If you hover your mouse over an icon, the name of it should appear in an info bar at the bottom of the screen, also a floating text box should appear after a few seconds with the name on it. Since you're new to TS, I'd highly recommed two courses under "Training" - "older courses" to get you started. "Spirit of the Interface" - this one will help you a lot with figuring out what icons do what on the model side, and "Getting Started with Truespace" - This one covers some of the more advanced tools in a little more detail.
