The purpose of the research is to discover what is unknown for how to continue to discover more.
The purpose of industry is to discover what is unknown to earn more money.
The pourpose of military is to discover what is unknown to win a war.
The pourpose of psychiatrist is to discover what is unknown to know who you are.

Ah... I'm beginning to see that I was right in my guess. but you will need to magnify your scene a bit more to be sure. ;) |

Another person who looks at the bright side of things is the sun worshipper !
Even though he would only be seen from a distance....I needed an egyptian that I could pose in different positions, so I also added a skeleton to him...

Looks great, as always Mr. 3d; and, as always, you're giving us bits and pieces of the scene but not quite ready to show us how it will end :)
Looking forward to seeing it all together. |

THANKS Tahnoak (and everyone else of course !)....I like to break up my scenes to show how I created them along the way. I had also manned my ships, but they ended up at such a far distance in the scene that you can't even tell ! |

Looking good - I'm guessing you've scaled down the 'house' to make the upper tiers as your windows/doors appear to get smaller... unless your people also get shorter as they go upstairs, perhaps you could rescale them with a bit of point editing so they're about the same size on each level...:D
I'm always impressed with the quite complex objects you make out of quite basic primitive shapes - I used to model almost entirely with just primitives and it can be quite a lot of fun, although I have now learned to use the 'draw polygon', 'draw curve' and sweep tools... still don't use much else most of the time! |

With me Nez, what you see is what you get. I showed what I created to work with. The full view of the lighthouse peak is not fully disclosed in my final scene....so any architectual irregularities that you may discern as being off scale is of no major concern to me or possibly the tennants who created this fantasy back in time. Some things are an over kill on time (which is currently slipping from my grasp), just as I took the extra time to man my ships that will never be discerned in the final scene...that too was overkill.;) |

This is starting to look pretty awesome. I love work where you get a tremendous sense of scale and judging by all the elements you are creating/gathering together you are certainly going to achieve that. |

Well...it's been a long day. Rumors of war are on the horizon... and even though the great lighthouse is supposedly facing the sea, there seems to be some sort of...

One of the Ancient Wonders of the World is the Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria in Egypt. Burning fires at night, it was used as a beacon to guide ships in the Mediterranean Sea. Created by the Ptolomy Dynasty that succeeded Alexander the Great, the lighthouse boasts a legend from ancient travelers about a huge mirror or lens on top of the lighthouse that could concentrate the sunlight upon enemy ships that approached and set them ablaze.
Could this have been one of man's first successfully recorded attempts at Laser Technology ?!!!....
