I know it is too late, but I did start it and I'm having a lot of fun so I thought I'd share :D

Started as a pencil sketch doodle during a boring meeting at work which grew until it almost filled the entire A4 sheet! So I thought, 'This would look so KEWL in 3D' ;)

The doodles are 'plants' and they are surrounded by bots who look after them...

Here is the concept sketch and the first garden robot...

You're so right - this would definitely look cool in 3d... :D

It's an awesome sketch, looks like quite a modelling challenge - I'm sure you'll end up with lots of geometry (again!). Have to say, the sketch would look pretty awesome just coloured/inked up as a 2d piece as well...

nice start on the robot, look forward to seeing this one come together, for sure.

Wow! That's some serious doodling!

Should definitely be cool to see in 3D.

tnx Jack :) ... only the center bit was actually done in the meeting, don't have meetings THAT long! ;) ... but liked it and did the rest at home...

Kind of reminiscent of one of Escher's tiling images. Hope to see this one in 3D, that would be very interesting!

Thanks Tom, to tell the truth, I'd also like to see it in 3D! ;P Not sure how I'm going to do it yet :D

That is a great sketch. It is art. Looks like an interesting project for a TS picture.

This project looks like a natural for the workSpace boolean tools.
Create your forms, dupe them and use the dupes to subtract from
surrounding forms. Looking forward to seeing this take shape.

Finis: tnx :) will take some time but might be fun to learn or come up with new techniques...

SteveBe: Hmm, might give me an excuse to use workspace again, haven't done much in it since I tend to stick to modelspace... will have a look...
