Project: create interface for new LEInfo object

LEInfo:

Test Timer

used for auto on/off button.

Brains

controls activity.

controller

logic for information type data passing.

vbTime

harvest date and time info and passing this data.

spedifyInfo

acts as a database of various information.

I built in two buttons already, but you should check the scripting on them so you know how they work.

So who could come up with nicest interface using only the information that exists in the LEInfo object (no tweaks or additions). :) Just the info already available from the specifyInfo database.

Nothing fancy or the interface will go crazy on you so keep it simple. Present the data in an interesting, simple way. Lets see who can come up with a winning interface. Winner could have their interface as new LEInfo script object!

I know this may sound stupid but, what is this for Norm?

Practice creating an interface would be the object of the project.

All the connectors on the specifyInfo object can be exported as desired. So you can export what you like and then work with the layout for the front interface.

Once you export an interior connector, it shows up on outside interface:

So question is how would you organize all these connectors on the outer interface.

Matrix values for selected object are all part of the specifyInfo, along with date and time, name of object and such. There are many ways to layout the front interface for all these possible values coming from specifyInfo. We are curious to see what folks can come up with for interface :)

Ah OK. I think I understand now. We could connect this to any object, to see information about that object, and how to access it: Full name of object and its value(s), like:

Space 3D/Sphere/AminClip/Disabled = 0;

and other items of interest about that object. I see. Thanks! I'll see what I can do!

This is initial interface I was toying with. It has several drawbacks:

right-hand-side: 2pixel wide by total height decoration element.
it makes the interface very unstable when you edit it.
best not to use so many elements as I have in the example.
you can export some or all the inner connectors to the front interface and organize them as you like.
overall too many decorative elements, which by the way, add 50% to size of this file (54k). If you check the size of the initial supplied object, you can see what your interface is costing by checking its size as you go.
how costly should interface be when finished.
after initial submit by everyone, we could then all add 1 perk to the scenario. Let everyone add their own idea to the chozen best example.
it would be interesting to see what different folks come up with for interface style/layout.
