I remember seeing a File I/O example posted but can't seem to find it now, can anyone point me to it?

Ah, bummer. They're RsObj specific.

I'm exporting into a text format, so hopefully Norm's old code will do the trick, though.

How about my Chess tutorial in the ts7 tutorial section, it's based on Norm's file I/O sample ?

Thanks Emma. That's a really detailed example. :D

I'm an old c++ programmer so looks like between the different examples I shouldn't have any problems implementing this.

Stay tuned for screenshots of progress in a different thread...

.. started a bit earlier with IBM 1620 Assembler... those were the good times:)

Would perhaps be worth a try to put up a list that lists VBscript and according jScript commands together. So people can eaysily convert bewteen those two scripting languages available for trueSpace 7

Yeah that would probably help VB users out a lot.

I started on an 8088 when I was 8 years old. I learned on Borland Turbo C using a tutor program called MasterC. I resisted the windows movement too, going to DJGPP and DOS4GW for 32bit code.

LOL I remember the days of having to switch memory registers in the video card to access more the 64K of video ram. :D

One day would be cool to have a collection of basic scripts, covering each of the data types available in an attribute/create drop-down-list. Two versions of each: one jscript and one vbscript. Then we could add as they are expanded to as time goes by.
