I saw that your installation scripts were all written with jScript while there was also a lot of LE constructions.

- Does the crash occure when you run install scripts for installation,

- is the installation process running exactly identical in it's behavior as with 7.11

- or does crash happen only later when you use the widget ?

tryd to figure out how your script is working and noticed that the file/directory structure seems to be different in 7.11/7.5

G:\Programme\truespace7\tS\RS Libraries\UI Items\ --> subdirectories

G:\Programme\trueSpace75\tS\Rs Main Libraries\UI Items --> no subdirectories as in versin 7.11

If I understood it right you are making your own subdirectories in the "UI Items" folder where also several others already exist (originator for them is Caligari)

In 7.5 it looks now as if those subdirectories are on the same level as the "UI Items" folder, thus your installation script can not synchronise to correct positions and doesn't work.

Stepping into LE guess you will have noticed that like in the widgets/tools structure there are quite a lot more things showing up. As an other example I found minor differences as shown in the picture below. Look in the lower right corner at Perspective which differs between 7.5 and 7.11 ( DockingPosition ) Don't believe though that a param difference like this will crash the script. There must be somewhere else a more important difference.

So I think as you know more detailed where you place all your littel LE boxes to get them connected it would be faster for you to locate other examples that differ and hopefully include a param that would make sense for producing a crash.

Tomas is looking into it..he asked me via email to explain the issue..he has the script now too..
:) thanks Emma..already knew about the install /library issue..it seems to be when switching from one widget grid to another ..and other icon button related options that start command scripts..

That is the old libray. With new Library you should use:
RsFileIO.LoadObject
Did you get my PM about how to install?

Stan,

I think you might need to re install truespace7.5

I know some widget related crashes in the LE damaged my install, and after the re-install, everything is cured. It was crashing every time I tried to load anything or even click on the workspace window. I think maybe the widget area is a more sensitive area for crashes, and more likely to cause some damage that there is no way out of, but re install truespace.
