A problem for me is how to get an animation from the Player side into an AVI file. When I make a skript with the Start/Stop mechanism I can play a nice animation inside the player, export it to a .rc file. CanI catch the animation to the KFE to get an AVI file ?

That is a neat idea scripting a recording of a scripted animation. However I do not think you will be able to do both at the same time. There is an example in the Activities/My Activities/ tS KeyFrame Recorder that should help you here.
Also look at these three items:

I was successfull in recording key frames from your script after commenting out the recorder commands. But the loop was indefinately duplicating cubes until I stopped it. I have no idea why this would be the case when your recording did what it was suppose to. Sorry I was not more help.

Hi Emma,

I'm not really sure what's going on in this scene. The scripting is a bit beyond me I think. So I don't know if I'll be helpful or not. Does your script create a recording...is that what it's doing? I'm not sure how one would get a recording into keyframes. If that's the case I would suggest maybe just have it so when you start the script it animates the objects (keep the recording part out of it). Then I think you should be able to use the process below to transfer to keyframes.

Make sure the bridge is ON and set to Full Merge.

1. Start and stop physics
2. On the "PhysEngine" node in the LE, check the "Save Anim" box
3. Start physics
4. Start your animation script (or a timer if you're running it off of a timer)
5. Stop your animation script (or timer)
6. Stop physics

Your scripted animation should now be in the KFE.

I just run scripts that move objects off of a timer myself. That seems pretty versatile and transferable.
