RsScn into Render to File for AVI // Visitor Area

I've created an example animation with Tank Girl and saved as RsScn file. I'm now trying to Render to File so I can convert to an AVI format. I've followed the manual, but I still come up empty when trying to access the Render to File display box. How do I create a timeline animation and open up the Render to File box as to convert my animation to an AVI format ? |

I'm working with tS 7.6, and my "render to file" icon doesn't look like that. My ''render to file" icon does not reveal what everyone is showing. Can you change the RsScn file into an AVI format. If so, then why am I not getting this "render to file" box to convert with ? I'm dbl clicking, rght clicking, dragging the scene.......but still no "render to file" box. |

Note that you don't "convert" your RsScn to AVI. Instead you render to AVI (or render to a series of still images, then you convert those to AVI). Only saying as the wording means it's not clear what you want to do at this point - do you want to render to AVI or still images, or do you want to convert from still images you've rendered already into AVI?
Not sure if you mean you are not getting the dialog box for Render To File to appear?

It's not the button on the upper right side of the model window. It's the last button on the tool bar at the bottom of the trueSpace 7.6 window.
Who knows what that other button does. When I press it, nothing happens. |

That button opens the real-time render to file dialog. If it doesn't then I would uninstall and reinstall, perhaps ensuring you run install as admin, as something is not correct with your installation there.
A screen grab would be helpful, so we can be sure what you are referring to (registering for the forum would also help you, your replies would post quicker, you can open a thread in a non-moderated section - registering is free and would get you the help you are looking for easier and faster...).
You cant use AVI in this dialog though, you have to go to still images and link them later. Why not try rendering from the Model side however, see how that works? That would let you go to still images (recommended) or straight toAVI if you wish. Any reason you want to use the real-time renderer in particular?
