hi everyone. I use truespace 4.3 and also have truespace 5. I know where the image browser button is in truespace 5 but i can't find the image browser button in truespace 4. I can use the premade images that came with the software but i don't know how to use my own images and put them on a plane so i can use them as refferences for modeling an object. any help would be great =] thanks

Don't think tS4 had a dedicated Image Browser - it used standard Windows file pickers from what I remember.

File/ Groups/ Material Shaders

Then click on the Color (top left) sphere in the Shaders panel.

In the resulting dialog box choose 'texture map'

Right click the color sphere, then click the gray box in the popup panel to bring up a file selector.
Navigate to and select your desired texture.
It helps if you have Windows display thumbnails.
(.bmp, .tga, .jpg, .png, .tif, or .avi)

There are a couple 'Image mapping on a plane' tutorials here (http://www.spacekdet.com/tutorials/)
(about halfway down the page)
For later versions but the basic concept is the same.
