I have just purchased truespace 7.5 and v-ray 1.5. I am looking to buy a 2.4 ghz pc with 2 gig ram but i am not sure on the graphics card, can anyone recommend a decent graphics card on a low to mid range budget that will handle this software?

GEForce and NVIDIA are the ones that are used most often. Ask about specific cards, and people can tell you how well it performs.

An excellent choice, that is a powerful card and will handle complex scenes in tS very well.

I have an 'eVGA' brand 8800 GTS 320MB and it runs trueSpace 7.51 (under Vista Premium 64) very well.

I highly recommend eVGA. My son bought one of their high-end cards 4 years ago. The card broke down recently... eVGA just replaced it with an 'equivalent' card... funny thing is... eVGA's current 'equivalent' card is relative to their current offerings, so my son has a new card now that is 4 times faster than the previous card!!! [and it didn't cost us a cent!!]. Gotta love eVGA for that!

Also, if you are looking for good prices online... you can usually find them at NewEgg.com or Buy.com. Or try a search engine like PriceGrabber.com... and watch those 'Shipping and Handling' and 'State Tax' fees. PriceGrabber will help you by showing them too, so you can sort by the best price.

You should be OK w/ rendering no matter what nVidia card you buy.

If your on a budget go with the nvidia 8800 GT or 9600 GT, personally I would choose the 8800 GT, just do not get one of pre overclocked cards. Also make sure your mobo is compatable with it as well, some older mobos supporting pci-e 1.0 Revised will run this card no problem, its just a matter of researching.
