I still have some questions.

1. When in realtime shader mode, I noticed the camera movement in your 7.5 demos isn't very smooth. Maybe because your just moving your mouse around. So my question is: can you animate a camera and output the realtime footage to .png or .tga?

2. I use several other 3D packages, so will 7.5 allow me to animate objects using physics or whatever, then export that animation to BVH or .X or .fbx?

3. How well does 7.5 play with other 3D apps? Like, can you import an obj of a character and rig it in truespace?

I'm out of questions and almost out of time to pre-order, so anything you can tell me would be great.

Thanks

Joe Ed

I think now that it's shipping it would be alright for me to answer you. :)

1. The real-time view is very smooth if you have a good card. Yes, you can render an animation with the real-time view. I believe the output formats are; .bmp, jpeg, .png, .dds, .dib, .hdr, .pfm.

2. Unfortunately since they just wrote the new animation tools there is not yet export support for it. I hear that it is high on the list of things to do now though. Hopefully in 7.6 we will have animation export.

3. There are many different import formats for objects including .obj.

P.S. I like your showreel. :)
