Here is likely the last update for this weekend. Image shows new mesh light.

Changes:

use the truespace sky light to determine the indigo skylight direction
fixed face normals - this may fix vertex normals, haven't tested yet
support one area light as an indigo rectangle light
support mesh lights

mesh lights must have scene instanced D3D color material
use the BlankDXMaterial or one of the color(non-texture) indigo materials
place the I_meshlight node inside the object to convert it to a meshlight

attached is everything to this point in time

Clinton

Edit: The included scene file contains the older indigo script. Replace it with the draft3 script version

Awesome that you're doing this Clintonman.

I wonder if we should sticky this thread to make it easier to find?

One small change for the weekend. The normals problem is fixed thanks to Jack and Tomas. Smooth normals, Facet normals and Autofacet normals are written out properly. It looks like the indigo normal smooth flag has to be one/checked before the render engine will see it. It still seems less than perfect, but testing will tell. Image shows identical cylinders one with smooth and one with facet normals. I still see one hard edged face on the smooth one.
Attached is the indigo script object.
