How to access a bitmap's RGB values and use RGB data to build or modify scene data?

Id like to get (or build) a script to arrange objects in array based on bitmap RGB data. Where to start :) ?

The bitmap's RGB data, as it is read, modifies scale, translate and rotate, and also color (and other shader parameters) of the objects in the array.

If a series of bitmaps, a movie, then the script animates the object's translate (or scale/rotate/color and so on) frame by frame.

This shouldn't be too hard actually. Really the toughest part would be building your array of object names and that might not be bad if you had them systematically named.

The script objects library has some bitmap and color scripts. A good source to learn how to work with colors in script.

I also wrote some array tools some time back. You can examine the code there to see how to create arrays. I've been meaning to update them so they work a bit better, but the basic principle is still the same.

Thank you for your pointers.

And Délé, I'll download that array script! Earlier this day I did see trueBlue referring to it in his Link Editor Navigator thread.
