Hey guys. Here is a little Node Search script. It can probe through up to 25 layers deep to find the node that you are looking for. I can increase that if anyone runs into a block, but I think 25 should be enough. The deepest node that I've ever found was like 16 or 18 layers deep. So it should be ok I think.

You just enter the name of the node that you are searching for. Then select where you want to start your search from (system, scene, etc.). It will find your node, which you can then select and/or browse to with the corresponding buttons. You can also check the "View All Copies" checkbox and it will show you all of the nodes with the same name as your search criteria. You can't select every one of them, but it can help you narrow your search more.

If you find any bugs or have any questions, let me know and I'll try to address them. :)

Feel free to use this in conjunction with scripts that you have written, or modify it to your own needs. Please just give me a little credit in a comment line or something. ;)

Sorry about the quite audio in the video. For some reason I can't adjust the audio on my new computer. It keeps telling me to install Windows Media Encoder, but I already did. It just won't recognize it for some reason. Anyway, it should be fine if you just turn up your volume a bit. ;)

Thanks guys. :)

I didn't think I could get around the extra slash with how I had it set up. It seemed to work alright though so I didn't pay much mind to it. I gave it another look here though and I found a simple fix. Sometimes you just need to look at things with fresh eyes I guess. :)

I uploaded the corrected version in my first post. ;)
