I was asked to share my custom layout for 7.6. Here we go. Have fun :)

Maybe we could create a layout collection here :)

I like some of the things you did here... what happened to the settings for bones though, you lost the ability to change the bone shape and other settings that used to be there? Or am I looking past them?

Thanks for the layout, I am hoping I can customize this further to get something more personal for me... nice job? :D
[edit]
I found it Tiles... I have to get used to what you have here... Very nice! All here somewhere, I just have to get used to the layout some... Thanks again!

Thanks so much for this Tiles, I'm trying to get over 'separation anxiety' for the pop-up point edit icons - this will help lots.

You're welcome :)

Forgot to mention that this layout is made for a 1680x1050 size. But surely fits to other layout sizes too with some tweaking :)

That's a stack thingie. Fastest method is to select your skeleton. This means with your rigged character that you have to navigate one down the hierarchy to really select your skeleton. And then the skeleton panel comes up, and you can change all the things you want :)

I have left the original toolbars intact. So no need to worry when you don't find it in my custom layout. Just dig in the original toolbars then.

Hmm, the left handed tools. Upleft are the whole animation tools. Below that are all the selection tools. Followed by all the point edit tools. And finally the paint tools. And voila, full access to my most needed tools :)

One of the most important things for me is the Scene view now. Here i have access to all objects and their settings. Here i select all the stuff :)

Oh, and just in case you don't know how to apply the layout, you have to put it into the following folder :
C:\trueSpace76\tS\Rs Main Libraries\Layouts - Configurations

Replace the C: by your installation path in case you have installed it to somewhere else.

I know I already said Thanks, but I just got to use this interface more in depth, and I have to say it's perfect. To all that read this and wish that Caligari included the 'pop-up' tools of the older and model side Truespace - this is the interface that will soothe your 'itch'.

Thanks again, Tiles

That's really nice. I was going to try to set up my interface like a defacto photoshop, but you've surpassed my efforts.

Thanks. :)

Thanks Tiles; that looks much more organized. I've been thinking about messing around with custom widgets in the future; perhaps we could get a database of things like this started for others? :)

I've been using your layout Tiles and I really like it. Having many choices when working with trueSpace just adds to the enjoyment and work flow.
Thanks

Tiles your layout rocks.

Have been using it for a few days now, and with a few personal tweaks and a mountain of self made hotkeys I can almost fly around this baby already!!

Heres something I found useful when added to your layout.

Ctrl Shift select and drag (To get a copy and not delete the origonal) a copy of the axis icons, the snap icons, the look at selection icon, and the reset view icon.. all onto the main 3D window.. snap em to the edge if you like.... Very fast visual feedback as to what settings are on ( I use shortcuts for all of em )

One big side advantage of your layout is that say I am doing a session of skeleton rigging... Its so easy to just control click drag the complete skeleton tools and have the toolbox right beside my skele.....1 click and I'm ready.. Fantastic!

Good Job

I tried yours but as I'm using 1024 X 768 screen size, some of the stuff was hidden. Been playing around a bit. Here is what I've come up with so far. Played and tweaked some more, added another file. Customizing is constant ;).

Thanks guys. Sorry for the late response. Moved to a new flat. The dust starts to settle now, but still lots to do. And so not this much time ...

Nice one :)

A pain to work with a 1024 resolution nowadays though. I would highly recommend to spend a few bucks for a decent flatscreen. Is really worth it :)

some of the stuff was hidden.

You can collapse/expand the toolbars. Simply double click at the black handler bar. That way you could put all available tools besides the Workspace. And just expand the one you need. I do that when i record a video in 1024x768 resolution :)

Months have passed, still tweaking things. Tweaked1024.rsl (http://forums1.caligari.com/trueSpace/attachment.php?attachmentid=17689&d=1232239503), also available a couple posts down. If you try to use it and get 'empty' icons, you may not have all the goodies I've added to mine.
