I just followed the thread in the roundtable forum and made some

lenses .They should be quite smooth so they should work pretty well

optically !(All major types) plus a ball all from NURBS !

The lenses are obj .and .3dm files in case you need that too.

Well I did this fast render in Kerkythea using the package I submit

with this post .....

Its a Bipath Metropolis Light Transport render with exagerated

colour diffraction of Abbe 3,7 which is pretty low !

normal lens glasses have between 20 and 60 !:)

This is the render with the concave concave lens..... the one far left

right in front of the Kerkythea camera......

You could make fisheye pictures with it that way if you use

wide angle setting !

Again Bipt MLT with chromatic disp. Abbe 3.7 on lenses on ground and

abbe 20 on camera lens...

Thank you for the lenses.... I will add them to my collection of magnifying things :D


Mean time, obj does not allow transfer of textures, so I have put these into a 7.51 library and here it is with pictures... I hope they fix that transparent shadow thing in V-ray soon.

Made a fisheye lens based on a cut of a real one.

First picture is with the concave concave lens and hdr

you... !:)
