Gord this one Widget is all I need for both point editing and object movement! It works exactly as I had hoped!
I want to show you one last thing I hope you consider in a modification to allow better selection at certain views. Can you add these additional selection points because at times I cannot make certain movements without changing the widget. With this mod everything will be complete. I attached a screen capture showing the problem. Picture trying to grab the blue bar.
If it can't be done I will still be the most grateful person on these forums for your help!
The change of widget size is amazing!!

Gord, the cubes can be slightly larger but not by much. The capability to make the widget larger and smaller also helps. THIS is an awesome widget and I can't stop smiling!:) Any changes you make would only make it that much better then it already is.
Thanks for your time and effort,
Bob

For any new users:
Eventually your going to notice that a widget keeps popping up where you don't want it to. Other times you can't select the axis you wanted because it is blocked forcing you to change views. You might be at the wrong angle to select a part of the widget. This widget fixes all those problems! It should have been called the Stan Widget but I am truly honored he named it after me. THIS is what working together is all about.

Clicking and holding middle button of mouse on center sphere of widget moves it anywhere you want.
+ and - keys increase and decrease the widget size.
Little arrow end points added for easier selection at certain angles.
This will fix Object movement and the Point Editing Widgets.
Edit: ALSO [ & ] hotkeys change the widget from standard to locking style

"Stan's Wicked Steinie Widget"! Very cool - I like it very much!

I'd never really had many problems or issues with the default widget - I use hotkeys to switch between Screen, World and Object cordinates and one or the other always does the trick but this rocks!

W!zard Great Idea!!!
In Steinie's Helpful Links I have renamed this Widget to
"Stan's Wicked--->Steinie's Locking Widget"
A name it deserves.
I only came up with the problem but Stan came up with the solution!

remember changing coords can also change the way the object gets rotated moved or scaled so isn't always the solution.

glad you like it Wizard..:)

Steinie, you forgot to mention that [ & ] hotkeys change the widget from standard to locking style;)

butterpaw, you bring the installer into ts via library-import or drag and drop into the library, then put the installer in the LE [at scene level] and run it..that's it :)

actually I was going to make a widget for myself similar to what I had in ts7.11, so the Steinie's locking widget is a fine name..mind you I will ad the locking feature.

Yeah I love it! This particular trick - the ability to quickly change from standard to locking style and back - is a particularly sweet feature IMO.

I can't get it to work in 7.6. It works great in 7.51.

I've been using it in 7.6 since day one so I know it works.

Gord, the attached file in the first post is the latest right?
