Hi folks,

I just noticed for the first time that if one uses truePlay1.3 and its file load dialog, one can load TS7.51 RsObJ objects into the actual intro Environment one defaults to when opening truePlay.

The thought occured to me when I did that... "Hmmm, wouldn't it be cool to have Sripted Objects which one could either load in this same environment and manner or simply drag and drop, which when moused over activated a voice script. If this is possible one could, for instance, have an external program in Windows (I can write that myself) which shows some "truePlay Virtual Guides," and when one drags them onto the truePlay 1.3 initial environment and moused over them, they would describe certain features of various destination options for the traveling truePlay user.:)

Food for thought?

Hah! I just realized I never made clear the specific help I needed above! Duoh...:p

OK, here's my prob. I'm unclear as to how to attach sound files to RsObj objects which will activate when moused over in FPN.

I would also like the option of being able to attach mp3 files, but wav format files are OK.

With Designer "Virtual Guides" like the one's I'm referring to above, we'd all be able to offer such Guides on the fly by simply modifying a template scripted RsObj file we all use and adding it to a "VGuides" directory somewhere called up by the external Windows program I would write for that purpose.

Could be really cool to have I think, and very usefull for things like having custom Virtual Guides explain how to access specific truePlay Meetings for instance, so it does have practical potentials.

Thanx,

When you are in FPN mode your mouse is being used to view and so what you are asking is not possible. Here is an example sphere object when you LMB click it will play a Wav file. When you mouse over it will highlight. Only Wav files are supported.

Thanks!

I see now... well actually, now that you say this and I think about it, it wouldn't be absolutely vital to remain in FPN while using such a Virtual Guide at all, so maybe the "mouse-over" idea I had is really an irrelevant ingredient in the whole idea anyway.

I think if I mess around with this object of yours here I may be able to do the Virtual Guide thing with a different approach then. Thanks! This could be kinda cool!:)
