Here is another result of the collaboration yesterday. :) This will lock your avatar to an object for a set period of time when activated. Be careful with this one. Make sure that when the avatar deactivates, it doesn't set the trigger off right away again. That can make you trapped. When you're locked to an object, you really are locked.

Edit: Fixed path problem. It should now work with truePlay and online spaces.

Edit2: Made Lock Trigger link to EyeCam instead of reading though script. This should make the lock smoother.

This is all so much fun Délé.

Your videos are really great too, all of them. Thanks for always taking the time to put videos together for all these great new scripts and scripted objects, it really makes getting familiar with them all a breeze for us.

Frootee was definitely right above, I do love this one for sure. You just completely solved the earlier issue I was having with being unable to hook up all the necessary elements and Avatar control necessary to achieving "Relational Object Collision Bypass" and "Relational Object Gravity Bypass" in one fell swoop with this one! That's really a great achievement for us all!

I have one question after trying this out and seeing the video, and that is I wonder if it may be possible to execute one additional script while the one you have here is running, and have that new script feed mouse coordinates into only the rotational aspects of the Master object, thus simulating the rotational movements of the Avatar eye by passing those mouse coordinates to the Master object temporarily instead?

If it would be possible, while this script you just created has an Avatar traveling along a predefined path in 3D Space the Avatar would be able to look all around while moving rapidly on that path, which would solve the need for that feature for RollerCoaster applications, which needless to say would be a perfect companion for ProfessorKhaos's very cool Trackmaker project!

Thanks Délé,

The path is now working properly in the script. You should now be able to use this Avatar Lock Trigger with truePlay and online.

Trigger object re-uploaded in the first post. :)

I updated the trigger again. New upload on first post.

This time I made the trigger link with the EyeCam instead of calling it through script. This should make the connection work better and produce smoother results when linking to moving objects.
