this will install the View AxesGuide widget. it keeps an axis object visible in the view to act as an oriention guide ..
right click the sphere to close AxesGuide widget.
right click of the icon will open the location and size tweaking panel in the stack

known issue; widget changes size with view zoom in otho views

you can bring the AxesGuide widget icon button into the toolbar with your other axis tools

first bring the installer in to truespace in one of the usual ways like..drag and drop, import

open the LE to your scene [Space3D] and run the install.thats it ;)
[if you want to uninstall it go to UNinstall tab]

I didn't forget Emmanuel :)

enjoy Gord

By the way...

By default you must maximize the workspace Perspective area.. i spend few minutes to find where was the widget located. :p

Fantastic Work!!

I use this settings and i get a preaty result..

Offset X ~ -700
Offset Y ~ 60
X Position ~ 1
Y Position ~ -1
Z Position ~ 15

thanks guys..:D :D

a medal :o  thanls Emmanuel

prodigy, thats why I put access to adjust the position and size, not everyome will have the workspace at the same size or want the axes guide as large..I use it at half screen or full screen on one monitor. it seems fine with that senario for me :)

thanks trueblue ;)

I will try to make it better i.e. the size changing issue in ortho if possible & as noted by Emmanuel, the z axis not appearing in 7.6 beta when it goes public if the problem still exists. oh and I should change the x y axis around in the icon too ..Gord

made a few small fixes to AxesGuide..there ios a new installer ready..stull can't get it to stop changing size in ortho yet

;) thanks trueblue for finding my spelling mistakes in the install code..I used your version of axis components, there was a connector misplaced in one of mine [the z axis], and yours had names ..

fixed the icon image and it should install to a place on screen better for you single monitor users

FYI,

I dragged the file to LE and clicked the Green "Install" but nothing happened. I clicked the orange triangle to move up one level and clicked the grey "Install" and this worked.

Really cool work Gord! Another one that should have been there.

This is one of my favorite Widgets for trueSpace and a permanent part of my UI. I sure hope Stan puts up a link for the rest of you.

This is one Widget I took for granted and I just want to thank Stan for making this for us.
