Here is a script that will help remove objects that have been Encapsulated. Load this script into the Link Editor and select your Encapsulated object. Select the Down Arrow Keyboard key and the Left or Right Arrow to select the sub object then select the UnGlue Selected button. What this does is copy the object to the RS Data folder, delete the existing object and reload it to the current scene.

Bless you True! :D I hated to encapsulate anything in TS7.5, it always seemed so permanent. Now I can work and try things again with no worry of making a mistake and not being able to rewind.

Thanks

Rich

Thank you, but you will find that this is not a perfect solution in some cases. I am hoping somebody with more experience will make this script more robust. Like identify selected object's location, rotation, and scale and then apply this information to it. Among other things. Most likely could be made into a toolbar button too, maybe making into a widget would do the trick.
Who will be that somebody?
Edit: 2/21/2008 - Updated script to remember selected object's location, rotation, and scale.

Rich..you could have gone to model side to unencapsulate-3d it's called unglue:rolleyes: just don't use other encapsulate or the objects are invisible in model side

way to go trueblue ;)

I can see why some of the new user's get so frustrated, I've been testing TS for some time and I did not know that

For these reasons it is something I tend not to do till I am absolutely 100% sure I will not need to add to or take away from the encapsulation.

Good to know.
