I'm very proud of this :D ..the "Virtual toolbox V1" widget kit

follow the instructions to install in next post..

the "Virtual toolbox V1" widget kit works in any layout..

note: the Global render options toolbar must be saved with your layout and installed in each layout you use..or add the icons to a toolbar in your favorite layout and uninstall the toolbar..remember to save the layout..

Enjoy ..Gord:cool:

here's how to install the kit and an image of global render options :D

update: when uninstalling remember to close toolbars for the Grid systems or you will find a phantom toolbar left behind..restarting truespace or changing layouts will remedy the problem..

Great work and thanks for sharing! Also great job on creating install instructions etc, to walk everyone through the process, very thoughtful! You've done a fine job all round here, not just in the development of the tools, but in presentation and installation too.

Thanks!

Tom

Wow, that looks tasty Stan; slick images and lots of documentation too. I don't even have tS7 (yet) but I want that toolbox. Hmmm, gotta beware there's temptation everywhere. Must save this page for future use.

the Virtual toolbox has been updated..
the new download is replacing the original in the first thread

the hide/show front view, sideview, and topview issue of the image grid has been fixed..to use them: after clicking the icon, click the mouse in workspace, the view will update..

the uninstall tab now looks like this with a reminder to close all grids and grid toolbars ..

I might not have been too clear on the method to open and close the toolbars in the Grid systems..

you sure wouldn't want the Imagegrid toolbar in your workspace when you are not using it..;)

Wow.

This is really top notch work here. When you set out to acomplish a thing you must be more focused than a laser beam because the results here speak for themselves loud and clear.

Thanks for this Gord, you set the bar very high indeed for us all.

Hi Stan (Gord?) I just downloaded this.. read and saved all the instructions and now.. when about to install .. read the very last post ... and realise it is probably not okay to install this in 7.51? awww this so exactly what I need!!

I feel so crippled without the z-plane grid at least... I don't suppose there's a workaround so that it can be used in 7.5?

in anycase .. I'm hopeful that eventually your widget will be solving my problem ^_^

Thanks so very much, Stan, for helping me to get those widgets installed! The z-plane grid is going to be sooooo useful!!

It was a great idea, meeting in the Scriptorium to do this..

I learned a lot - thanks again! :)
