here is a large version of the player's view toolbar..it isn't locked on the title bar so you can put it where you want too..update the one in this post only works in floating layout or one based on floating ..there is one further down in thread for default layout [post #11].... sorry for the confusion
first import the Player_large_viewtoolbar.RsObj into the UI/WM library..
in the LE go to system/ project/ Windows Manager Space {which is your layouts "Windows Manager Space"}... drag the Player_large_viewtoolbar from the library into the LE..restart truespace and the toolbar should show up..
this is my path but yours might be different
to hide the original go to system/ project/ Windows Manager Space/ Frame Window/ Fame Window/ ->Toolbar on the Toolbar node check hidden..thats it..:) |

Cool, thanks. :)

Yup, that worked great thanks. :)

...but this didn't. :( I did as you said & have 3 items in WMS labelled Frame Window [Frame Window, 1 - Frame Window, 2 - Frame Window 3]. The only 1 that I can see that has a hide option is for the toolbar that has the shutdown tS button on it. At least that's the case on mine anyway. Doesn't really bother me as the other little 1's hardly noticeable & not exactly in the way. :) |

This is what I see:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alien42/images_for_caligari_forum/Windows%20Manager%20Space.png
& none of those 3 come close to your description [no player ground, no mention of post process, etc]. :( |

Standard-ish. It's a modified version of Full (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alien42/images_for_caligari_forum/Full-no-worky.RsLyt). |

I looked in Floating [un-modified, except I dragged everything over to my secondary monitor, as I don't use it], & this time saw 6 Frame Window entries, & none matched your description [player ground, etc]. |

did it work in floating..? they use the name frame window for many nodes[ I have 8 or more in mine]..but thats just to hide the original..it's to get it to work in default..eek
found the path to turn off the original toolbar in default..wasn't easy to find..system/ project/ Windows Manager Space/ Frame Window/ Split Docking Space / Frame Window/ Split Docking Space/ Frame Window,2/ Border Docking Space/ Frame Window,2/ Frame Window/ Toolbar
the path to turn off the original toolbar for full layout...System/ Project/ Windows Manager Space/ Frame Window/ Border Docking Place/ Frame Window,2 / Frame Window/ toolbar |

Stan, I take it these are just enlarged versions of the orginal icons-hence the slight fuzz.
We are experimenting with a slightly larger version of the toolbar. IF enough people wish to use your modified toolbar I could supply you with the 30x30 icons for extra clarity. Just let me know...:) |

send them along Splinters.. most came from the large model version of the toolbar..the render file and hardware settings are enlarged screen grabs..as there is no way to get images out of ts7 bitmap library.... |

TBH, I didn't try installing it in floating, I just looked to see if I could find where to hide the original tiny toolbar [in floating].
After a bit more looking around, I finally managed to find where to hide it in my modified-Full:
System/ Project/ Windows Manager Space/ Frame Window,2/ Border Docking Place/ Frame Window,2/ Border Docking Place/ Frame Window,2/ Toolbar
found the path to turn off the original toolbar in default..wasn't easy to find..system/ project/ Windows Manager Space/ Frame Window/ Split Docking Space / Frame Window/ Split Docking Space/ Frame Window,2/ Border Docking Space/ Frame Window,2/ Frame Window/ Toolbar
the path to turn off the original toolbar for full layout...System/ Project/ Windows Manager Space/ Frame Window/ Border Docking Place/ Frame Window,2 / Frame Window/ toolbar
As you can see above, mine was elsewhere, but thanks for posting both of those as they helped give me better idea where to find mine.

Yup, that 1 works in my modified-Full, thanks. :cool:
<edit>
It would seem my probs are not yet over - just used the replace layout tool, to update my modified-Full, switched to default, then back to my Full & that toolbar no longer works. :( Could it have anything to do with the fact that it's visible in modeler as well?
</edit>

I'll certainly use it. :)
BTW, any chance I could get a copy of all the icons, as I would like to make my own version of the wallchart-thingy [I'm actually planning on doing it as seperate pages, laminated]. I could grab them out of the PDF v. of the manual, but if you've still got them at print resolution [I think my printer only does 300dpi anyway] it'd be much appreciated. I did get the boxed v., & hence the official wallchart, but I want to make it a bit more condensed, same size icons, but not as much empty space. |

glad it works Alien..:D it seems my custom floating layout has a very simple path compared to other layouts..:rolleyes:
<response to your edit Alien>
not sure about your new issue Alien..it shows up in model because it's a custom tool bar remember they don't hide when changing..odd though..I've been using mine without issue since ts7.0..made a new version for ts7.1..but I don't change layouts as I see no reason to...... |

I guess I must have edited my post just before you posted that. Before I did the whole replace layout, switch layout, then switch back thing it worked, but now only 1 icon on it does anything - the hardware settings icon - everything else has no effect. :( |

Alien..I can't reproduce any problem..I added the D version of the toolbar to default and full layouts..I use the original {floating layout one} in my custom layout..I can change layouts with no issue arising with the D version..:confused: |

I'm round my mum's ATM, but I'll post something in the Bugs forum when I get home, maybe 1 of the Caligarians can shed some light on it. |

Stan, here are your images-they are in 32bit BMP format as recommended by developers.
Hope they help; |

Thanks Splinters..:D
here are the toolbars with the official images..:banana:
if you use default full or collab etc..the toolbar ending in "DI" is for your layout [any except floating]
for those who use floating layout or a custom layout based on floating the toolbar ending in "F" is for your layout |

My pleasure. The image shows them at 30x30 so you should see no fuzziness in UI now. Good luck...;) |
