OK, I have decided to give this one its own thread. If you dislike the tiny view aspect toolbar that comes with TS7 then here is how to get a nice big one like mine....ooh er!
First, download the zip file below.
Unzip file then open TS7 in default layout with an empty scene.
In LE make sure you are in top of hierachy (click on orange triangle next to 2D tab until it wont go back any further.
Now, find TOOLBAR PROTOTYPE ENCAPSULATE in LE and click on orange tab.
Find tsTopBar and delete it.
Next go into stack and object library-R-Click and import the object you unzipped-it is now in your library.
CTRL-drag this into your LE to replace the tsTopBar you deleted.
If toolbar is still visible in top of TS7 UI then delete it by clicking on X
Now go into toolbar menu(left of screen) and choose VIEW ASPECT BAR.
The big toolbar should now be in your UI. Remember to save layout and State (I do project too).
I have found that choosing RELOAD PROTOTYPE from right of the new toolbar loads up the original small one. Good luck! |

And what you get in case you didn't know. Some new icons in there unique to this toolbar (so if you want to be different....just do it) |

No, not at all-I agree with larger toolbar. Even with good eyesight, small toolbar was difficult to see. I just know the boss's opinions on maximising 'real estate'..... |

Glad you like it Vizu-it is a permanent fixture in my UI now, although I have avoided it on my laptop due to limited screen size...:) |

Believe me I was scared to go inside LE, until i saw this forum. I didn't understand the fully customisable UI when I first read it in the manual.
Now I know what it means.
TYVM Splinter,

This script will load the big toolbar. I was hopeing to make it completely automatic, but this is as far as I could go.
Import tSTopBar and BigTopBarLoader into the "Base" Objects library and then drag the BigTopBarLoader into the link editor window.
"If toolbar is still visible in top of TS7 UI then delete it by clicking on X"
Click the Load button.
"Now go into toolbar menu(left of screen) and choose VIEW ASPECT BAR."
You can use "Reset" on the toolbar to get the small version back.

I added a couple of commands to Clintonman's BigTopToolbarLoader and now it is completely automatic. Well almost you still have to import the tsTopBar into your Objects/Base library and then run this script from within the Link Editor. Depending how fast you can load both objects into trueSpace7, I narrowed it down to about 5 seconds or one push of a button.
Download the tsTopBar: http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/attachment.php?attachmentid=504&d=1140735895 (http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/attachment.php?attachmentid=504&d=1140735895)
Download the Script below: |

I just have made an other tSTopBar with stripes for X/Y and tiles for Z.
I found that the stripes in tS6 icons were helpfull for newbies, to understand what X, Y and Z axis directions are in tS.
This one is not the one you made Splinter. I have drawn softer stripes to prevent copyright issues :D |
