I think I do. My opinion on the matter is that I would prefer those that wish to discuss said subject either do so in private, or somewhere specifically intended for such topics. |

Fair enough! I just assumed it was going to happen anyway given the history of such things on the old forums. I thought it'd be nice to keep the other threads clear so folks can get their trueSpace questions answered. |

Yeah, it sure takes a lot of tweaking and rendering to get a nice image. And then there's choosing from all the attempts and or merging several for the desired effect.;) |

Yes, but when you use a photograph as a backdrop is that considered cheating or not? :) |

Lets refer to it as an image. Sure beats millions of polygons which may not render in a reasonable amount of time.;) |

Don't rock the boat.
"our minds have
evolved similarly over millions of years of collaboration together in shared contexts. The human mind
can create"
Wise to remove that from the DG. In the very least to add "I believe" to it, and not state it as 'a matter of fact'
It is a lie , #1, and it is not proven, #2, and it is contradictory to many potential customers' belief system out there, #3, and it is a slap in the face of customers that are bible believing christians, #4. |

Otherwise I'm in no desire nor will to argue and be in strife.
I stated the point.
If anyone seriously want to know about creation evidence, feel free to send me mail. I'll send you links to resources so you can study these things for yourselves.
Best regards to you all,

This is a 3D fourm, not a religious propaganda forum.
There is an old, & very wise saying "never discuss religion or politics". Personally, I think that should be in the terms & conditions for this forum, as neither topic has any place here. |

True. Except that I don't want some small group of people censoring the DG based on their beliefs. It goes too far. If the authors of the DG want to express ideas behind the development of tS, then I want to read it. There is also a saying "you can't please everyone all the time". |

Exactly! What I meant was if they want to make any kind of religious comment, they should take it elsewhere.
It goes too far.Anyone ever tell you you have a talent for understatement? ;)
If the authors of the DG want to express ideas behind the development of tS, then I want to read it.Absolutely - unless they were to try & bring religion into it, then I'd have a problem with it. :)
There is also a saying "you can't please everyone all the time".Also true, but I think there comes a point where you shouldn't even try to please some people, as it's simply not worth the effort. |

Well, hindsight being 20/20, I can tell that creating this thread was not one of my best ideas. Something about letting sleeping dogs lie comes to mind.... |

quote from developer's guide: "...our minds have evolved similarly over millions of years of collaboration together in shared contexts. The human mind can create..."
I suppose this means that realtime collaboration and shared space should work...in theory.
LOL!
Has anyone used this feature yet, by the way? |

Ohhhhh,.....was that what you meant?
Duly noted.
I believe I'll only drive over and visit this thread on Sundays.
Or was that Wednesdays, Fridays, or Saturdays?
It's hard to keep up with which is the right philosophy for these things.
And that'll be my scientific method of avoiding the ongoing evolution of the discussion.
Now, back to my bowl of spaghetti. |

Censorship issues aside, mutual respect and tolerance would go a long way on this subject.
If anyone wishes to discuss the topic with me offline, just PM me (but bring an open mind...discussions are not unilateral)
So it's not just me that has those days then...:o
Oh Heavens No!!!! (sorry... couldn't resist! :))

Hi Keith!
I believe it's referring to the Developer's Guide, which is the second tS7 manual which focuses on scripting. The first tS7 manual was the Artist's Guide. |

Some of the content of the opening letter and chapter 1 could be considered controversial. The context in which it was used was largely as a metaphor for how trueSpace7 and Rosetta work. Specific statements and examples might be viewed as offensive if taken for more than their worth as a metaphor.
Strangely enough, a significant point of the opening chapter was that you can adjust trueSpace and it's tools to work to suit your own preferred point of view. |
