Cheers Tom, I have raised the subject on their forums so we shall see.

I realise this does not mean any thing will be produced but I remember SNewham, who wrote the spaceball.tsx, saying that he was just waiting for the SDK to look into integrating the device.

As I said; fingers crossed...:D

Seems strange that Virtal Earth is supported Tom, a quick look at their list of supported apps does not show it...

In this instance support seems to have been written by MS and not by Connexion - you need the latest build of VE and the space navigator just works. This is the build that was released in May or so.

In the older (pre-May) version of VE, the space navigator did not work. This is with the same version of the space nav drivers, I had to uninstall and reinstall VE to get it working back in May :)

HTH!

Cheers for the update Tom. I have plenty to do in model side for the moment but I hope that support for the device may be around when I start moving my new projects over to workspace side. Not too simple at the moment...you know how far back some of this 'book' stuff goes....:p

I really am tempted by one of these. Not too bad price wise either and you can get a logo of your choice on the top!

Edit: just checked their website and you can only get a logo if you order 50 or more!

I am messing with GlovePIE at the moment trying to get some sort of emulation (trying movement in Crysis for now). Would this program be any sort of solution?

Raised this on the 3D Connexion site last September and I have contacted 3D Connexion to see if they are any further on with this but no reply so far. This could be a great addition to modelling in workspace.

Fingers crossed eh?
