A time ago I made this rocket animation with 6.6 physics.

I wanted to see how I could control a rocket takeoff like animation.

Here a local wind source is used to give the rocket a slight push sideways..

The walls are just to visualize the rocket's path.

I wish there would be a physical horse power force vector that can be set to line up with the local orientation of an object. The acceleration vector does not follow the direction of the rocket but always seem to point the same way until keyframed otherwise.

[EDIT: The above is not correct; the accelleration vector in simulation rotates with object. It does however look like it does not when physical object is viewed afterwards.]
