There is no working one - yet
There is the Truebones plugin from MR Bones, which can import BVH Motion files from Poser. MR Bones offers the service to convert from FBX to trueSpace. So my guess is that there is a way to convert FBX to BVH. And so you would be able to finally import it into TS.
Unfortunately Truebones Plugin just works up to TS 6. TS 6.5 and TS 6.6 doesn´t work with it. And unfortunately the BVH file also has the same limits. Poser 6 BVH files are also out here. Just Poser 5 and below ...
Well, you could use an old TS version, an old Poser version, and the mighty little unknown software to convert from FBX to BVH, then to TS, and then try to open the scene in the newest TS version. But here is the next pitfall: TS versions are incompatible. At least when it comes to bones. It MAY work. But no guarantee. I have given up to open old TS 4.3 scenes with TS 6.6. Rigged sprites are mostly destroyed by this. The TS 6.6 bones system is the buggiest bones system of all TS versions.
The told scenario is a theoretical one. I don´t have Poser 5 nor the needed earlier version 6 of trueSpace nor the Truebones Plugin. Just read some snippets here and there. I have stopped to dive into this issue when i figured out that the Truebones Plugin doesn´t work with TS 6.6 ...
The new bones system that may come with TS 7.5 was promised to support FBX though. Let´s have a look what pitfalls waits here then ;) |

Here (http://www.okino.com/conv/demos.htm) is a program called polytrans which apparently can convert *.fbx to *.cob, amongst many other formats. Unfortunately this is a demo.
There is also an alias *.fbx convertor that does the same. You'll need an alias membership to download the program.
There don't seem to be many programs that can convert the format. When I look it up on google and on 3dlinks I find information about programs that don't exist anymore. It seems as though the filmbox format is old. |

Of the goal is to get a .cob to .fbx format Cararra 5 Pro will do it.
From fbx to cob, it's probably best to wait for 7.5 or utilize Mrbones services.
EDIT
Scratch that. I just tested, Carrara will import the mesh but not the motion. |

There is a FBX importer for DAZ (a free 3D program). It's a plug-in and costs about 50 dollars. Not sure what DAZ imports and exports, so can't help you there, er wait, I can check... :)
Can import and export OBJ (wavefront). If you don't mind all the advertisements you get in the email, it appears to be a fine program. I haven't explored it much. But it seems less capable than tS as far as modeling, etc.
Of course, I don't know know how this would help you out in tS as I am doubtful the object could be exported out and imported in to tS with a functioning FBX???
YOu may have to do all the work in DAZ, not sure.
Have no idea what the capability of the FBX importer is, I just briefly read about it. |

Also, the regular price for that plug is $99. It is on sale now cuz it is new. That prog is probably only good if you are exporting animation from DAZ|Studio to a program that supports .fbx. So it is not now that useful (for trueSpace), but may be useful when 7.5 gets .fbx support.
Of course, that would be sad because it would mean that DAZ|Studio (a free program), would have better animation capabilities than tS7.5. |
