I picked up tS originally because 3dsmax is WAY out of my 3d budget (the 'ol lady would kill me if I bought 3dsmax lol). BUT i've come to love trueSpace more than just the price, even if there's still a ton I need to learn. But one thing I don't like is the export options, I model a lot with the boolean process and when I goto export my models (using the LUUV plugin) it asks if I want to triagulate I tell it yes, and the object looks right in Bryce. However if I have a few objects (in this case wheel rims) grouped together, it doesn't triagulate all of them only one then the rest are solid items. The 3ds format I don't like at all compared to 3dsmax's exports. So what is the best format to export to, or am i missing something here? I read somewhere that someone else uses a plugin to export to 3ds and obj formats that seem to come out better. However i can't remember where i found the post, nor the name of the plugin (if it was mentioned). So any ideas here would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help

Phillip

You can triangulate objects with the triangulate button before exporting. I have never had any troubles with the LUUV plugin or it's exports, so I would stick with that. 3DS export/import is always a little problematic. The only good converter I have seen for this format was Deep exploration.
