I am currently at creating an animated character. Two to be exact. The other one just needs other textures. And that´s where the trouble starts.

I have spent three days to rig the first character in Motion Studio. Now i simply wanted to apply the other texture set to the ready rigged mesh to spare me the time to rig this mesh again. Work of a few eyeblinks. But trueSpace doesn´t accept the new material correctly. All shows fine in solid view. But when i render it the old texture comes through partially.

Have a look here to see what i mean:

Does somebody have a solution for this?

Ah, got it. Motion Studio turns off Auto Record while loading the scene. I have to turn Autorecord back on, select Mesh in Motion Studio Panel, and then i can repaint as needed :)

Nevertheless curious that you cannot paint/repaint a mesh with Autorecord off ...

Auto record affects only the Paint Over tool, I think. In previous versions it was used to create animated materials, and I think this is a holdover from that. The Paint Faces and Paint All aren't affected that I know of.
