heh heh
Beginnings of a toon for my grandchildren. Don't worry they are all under 3 so their attention span is short. :)
Just started with the characters, the house(s) will be constructed in that theme but not that poorly done. :)
Working on the female characters next. Will be several toon characters types of the same genre in the town including cats, dogs and whatever. :)
I have a script written out, so it's gonna be awhile before completion.
My daughter encouraged me to do this first before starting on other projects, so the grandchildren will have something to view. When "grandpa" goes missing for hours in the computer room , at least they will know the reason why. heh |

Grandchildren!? & there's me thinking you were younger than me!
:o :o :o
<cough>
Aaanyway... the little people kinda remind me of some children's toy range I saw years ago. There were various playsets with a house or whatever, & some little people that looked kinda like yours to go with it/them. |

The family grows...
I decided to call them the Orbis family. Orbis the Latin term for circle, round, etc. :) |

heh.
Yeah, the orange thing is a cat. It will have special abilities though, like the ability to morph into different shapes. :) |

Here's a sneak preview of the "morphed" cat. Obviously not textured satisfactorily yet. That cat is gonna be a fun part of the toon. :) |

I see...
I can already tell it's morphing into a sabertooth cat! |

I don't understand your post Stoker, care to elaborate.
jamesmc said that he hadn't quite textured it yet and that it was going to morph into different shapes. So if thats not classed as modelling and texturing i'm not sure what is. |

Part of a duck scene where ducks fly in to Otto Pilot's square pond. The ducks aren't completely modeled yet. Doing scenery first. |

Youve got a movie coming on there! - the scenery is very cartoonish and very appealing! - I like it a lot.. Are you going to add voices and such? |

The last two images look quite atmospheric. I don't know if the polygon look of the sun is intended, but I would smooth it out. |

There are a few voices. Most of the scenes are visual with sound effects, music or a combination of both. Much like a typical cartoon. My children are fighting over who gets to do the voice of the cat. Each auditioning their own version of what they think the cat should sound like. Even though the cat is male, my daughter is in the lead with voice over effects. :) One of my son-in-law's wants to do his version of the Manga styled voice. It may fit in certain scenes, we'll wait and see. :)
I just started this outdoor scene as I grew weary of doing several indoor scenes that were in the story board.
I'm kind of miffed at tS at the moment as it blew up about 5 of my rigged and skinned actors. Now they have all sorts of irregular polygon formation and artifacts. Not sure if they are repairable.
The last scenes have disappeared from computer for some odd reason. I resized one of the ducks and it disappeared along with the image planes and sky dome. When I called back the previously saved files, they didn't show up either. I restarted the computer, that didn't work. Re-installed and the objects were still missing.
Evidently tS does not conform to Windows standards with sub folders in scenes and object libraries, so you have to put everything in one giant default scene folder which is very hard to manage. |

I never use the default scene folder, I don't even save my scenes on the same partition as tS is installed on. :) I never use the scene libraries either, prefer to use save as scene, that way it'll incrementally number/name your scenes & if things do go pear shaped you only lose whatever you did since your last save. |

A warehouse scene of cartoon parts of course. Some damaged duck boxes. And some 'duck sauce' spilled on the floor. Same scene from two different light sources, one from left and other from right, one is brighter and more orangey. |
