Well I finish my helmet so I thought I would give this one a try. I see that there is a lot of land transportation so I guess I would try a water one a Reed Boat. Pic soon to come as I am starting out late. |

If you want some useful inspiration, you could do worse than check out the SMC 33 entries for some ideas on how to go about your model; the 'comments' thread had some useful tips and Heidi produced a thread on how she modelled a sailboat which was very informative; to save you looking, here's the links...

Sorry all for being slow. If I can get TS to work right with me I will get done on time. I just started to tweet it and if everything goes right I will do the texture this weekend.

Looking good. Some decent textures will bring that out a treat. |

Thanks for the praise. How come the UV editor run so slow:mad: Wow one more thing to keep me from finishing it on time. I don't think it like complexed object. the only thing I see in the UV editor is a black line until I zoom in with the mouse wheel that took 5mins. now I got 5 lines and they are part of the mask pole. where is the boat. ouch:mad::mad: |

well I see I have a lot to learn about TS. First to learn is how you all do that close up detail work with out crashing. Every time I got to close to the object all kinds of weird things started up. May be it was the wrong mouth to do this LOL.

The only thing done out of TS was the textures Photoshop |

Looks very good, nice texture work! Although in truth if you want your boat to be wooden looking, whether one tree log or several planks, the texture did get stretched a bit awkwardly for that. Don't know if your going to work on that now, but I thought I'd point it out anyway.:) |

Yes I am. It was to have a reed look but I seem to have a hard time getting to come out right. |

Yeah, I'm not that great with UV editing so I wouldn't be a great resource on this point. I know Mad Mouse does amazing UV work, and there are many others with exceptional skills. Hopefully one of them will notice this and offer assistance. You may want to check this out as well: http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Courses/newTextureCreation.asp?Cate=Training&SubCate=Master it's free so why not right? |
