Some thing wrong in the syntax of dae export

I try to import dae file from TS76 into other program (3DMAX, MAYA,HOUDINI), and import process fail on this syntax:

<image id="file_0" name="file_0" depth="1">

<init_from>

C%3a/D/graph/trueSpace76/tS/Textures/brusbody.jpg

</init_from>

</image>

init_from tag is not conform , it must contains some thing like :

<image id="brusbody">

<init_from>

file:///C:/D/graph/trueSpace76/tS/Textures/brusbody.jpg

</init_from>

</image>

Please make an effort on DAE exporter and IMPORTER , it is important to communicate with other 3D programs ...

Collada is a text format, you can edit out those lines by hand which should solve your problem.

I'll notify the devs though since there does seem to be an issue with other importers not liking the way TS Collada handles textures.

yeah, it appears to be putting the hex code in for the : in c:/ - ascii 58 or 3a

I've done several Collada exports and it never gave that format for the texture file. It always gives me a relative path for the texture and your sample shows an absolute path. I think the devs will need more information on this one. Can you describe your process? How was the texture applied in truespace? What options did you use for the export? Maybe the problem is truespace is installed to "C:\D\graph\truespace76" instead of just "C:\truespace76" and it just can't handle it.:confused:

I did a test on an old computer and installing to "C:\D\graph\truespace76" had no effect. I still get relative path names for the texture.
