I've been working on a landscape-scifi scene. I am using a Nurbs sphere as the sky object. I am able to make the object, render it, etc., however I'm not able to load a scene with such a object. Truespace crashes every time. I have confirmed that the nurb sphere, torus, plane, or any other nurbs object, causes Truespace to crash when loaded as a ts6 scene. This happens if I save the scene and load from a library, or if I save and load from the ts6 menu. This is rather disturbing as the modeler side is so riddled with bugs, that prevent me from working. I only have performance and graphical issues with the workspace, but that's because I'm on a low end PC. I would prefer to work with the modeler side, as it has all the tools and I am able to render. I also noticed that grouping a large number of object is very slow using a plugin. I don't know if it's because of the ts7 wrapper, or something else.

Edit: I forgot to mention that if I close Truespace with Nurbs objects in it, and reopen Truespace, it does not crash. I also noticed that Metaball objects lose their material when reopening Truespace with them in it. So like for example, you create a scene with metaballs and apply a texture and save it using a library or however, then close Truespace, reopen Truespace, the metaballs will have lost the material that was applied.

First thought is to ensure the bridge is Off so it doesnt try to convert the scene to the workspace. Next thoughts are what happens when saving as a tS scene, a tS6.6 scene and a tS6.0 scene?

Thanks Tom, turning off the bridge fixed that problem with the crashing. I originally had it on Auto. I was wondering why I would get a "save this scene?" message even after I already saved and started a new one. I guess it was because the workspace side needs to be saved in it's own way. However I just found something new. If I turn off the bridge, then turn it back on and sync from the modeler side while a nurb object is in it, I get a crash. So I assume the crash is happening on the workspace side when a nurb object gets loaded there.

Edit: I need to correct this. The only time when syncing from the modeler crashes, is right after I load a scene with a nurb object in it.
Edit2: Tested this using the Ts7 saving and loading (RsScn file), and no problems. This is only happening with using the ts6 saving/loading using the ts6 menu (including ts6.0 scene type), or using the modeler scene library to load it.

The workspace side currently doesn't support NURBS, so they have to be converted to polys - sounds like this is the part that is failing and causing the crash, when the NURBS get converted to workspace (which would be at load, or when the bridge is activated).
