Now...It was tied in my head between...my...mums suggestion...of doing a...doing a hot air balloon...or a snazzy type train...Not real, the real ones I'll never pull off...So. To the concept board!
I'm stating my place in this competition, so far we have four as I can see

I dunno Thenus...having a train race would be kinda funny...

Looks like an interesting model so far. I've no idea what the underside of a train should look like so the thing that came to my mind when looking at your render was a 'flying' train, where the big round parts (that are presumably supposed to be part of the bogeys?) were vertical thrusters/repulsors or some such, allowing it to hover.... (did the Back to the Future train do that? can't remember part III other than there was a train and it was jazzed up to some extent...)
As a side note, I am hoping to join the fray on this MMC with something other than a train, although I may not finish with October fast slipping away. I got an hour or so done back at the weekend but didn't bring my files to work to develop during the week so won't be able to continue/post anything till the weekend at least, maybe next week. |

That's funny Nez, I had exactly the same reaction when I first saw it. I thought it would look really cool flying against a Coruscant type background (planet wide city from The Phantom Menace for all you non- Sci-Fi geeks :D). Anyhow, it's still a great model and some fantastic detail going on there. |

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one then! We already know Weevil can do sci-fi (that hover tank thing was cool, as was the Viper model) so it could be a cool concept...
It could go nicely with my own plans - I'm aiming on doing a starfighter.... |
